A.
Mineral compatibility with SQ Aluminium matrix
• Mineral oil HL/HLP, DIN 51524
• Oil/Water emulsion HFA, HFB, CETOP RP, 77H
• Water glycol HFC, CETOP RP 77H
• Phosphate ester HFD-R, CETOP RP 77H
SQ Material
• Matrix : Aluminium (std) or steel
• Fan blades : Fibre-glass reinforced polypropylene
• Fan housing : Steel
• Guard : Steel
• Electrical motor, Aluminium (std)
• Other parts : Steel, electronic blast coated with epoxy
plastic powder.
B.
Technical specifications for SQ cooler matrix
• Dynamic working pressure 14 bar. Tested
with 5 million pressure cycles at 3 Hz, temperature 50ºC.
• Maximum static pressure 21 bar
• Temperature shock tested with steam 104ºC and water
13ºC.
• Heat transfer tolerance 6%
• Maximum oil inlet temperature 120ºC. High temperatures
cause reduction in pressure rating. Please contact OLAER.
• Higher viscosities than 100 Cst cause reduction in cooling
capacity. Please contact OLAER.
• Coating : protective diffused zinc coating over the
entire surface.
• Environment : for corrosive environment, contact OLAER
for suitability.
C.
Technical specifications for electrical motors
SQI Air/OIl coolers are using 3-phase asynchronous
motors according to the requirements of IEC 34-1 and IEC 72,
complying with DIN42950/DIN42973.
• Standard operating voltages : Nominal voltage 230/400V,
D/Y motors are stamped for 50Hz: 220-240/380-420V 5%. Other
voltages, frequencies and single phase motors are available
on request.
• Insulation : Class F
• Temperature rise : Class B
• Maximum operating conditions : Ambient temperature 50ºC,
altitude 1000 meters above mean level. For extreme conditions,
contact your nearest OLAER company.
• Protection standard : IP55. Higher protections standards
available on request.
• Modifications: offshore versions and hazardous duty
type motors are available on request.

D.
Installation instructions
The very rigid cooler construction permits
both face and foot mounting. When face mounted in front of a
ducting or ventilation shaft, please use the 4 mounting holes
located on the U channels of the matrix.

Place the cooler so that there is an unrestricted
airflow to and from the cooler. The distance from the nearest
wall should not be less than half the diameter of the fan.
E.
Servicing instructions
For cleaning the internals of the matrix,
connect the cooler to a closed circuit and circulate perchlorethylene.
After cleaning the radiator should be flushed with oil before
being reconnected to the hydraulic system.
Cleaning of air fins
The easiest way to clean the air fins is using
compressed air or rinsing with water. Fouling can be dealt with
using a degreasing agent and a high-pressure washing system.
When using a high-pressure washing system point the jet carefully
parallel to the air fins at a distance no closer than 3 cm away
from the fins.
