Once disassembled, an assessment will be made on the ability
of the accumulator to perform in the conditions described in the
official AS1210 approval. This assessment will be made after considering
the test results. These tests may include some or all of the following
:
- Internal inspection with a fibre optic device
- Wall thickness testing using ultrasonics
- Hydrostatic pressure testing
- External inspection
- Dimensional check of the openings
These tests will be witnessed by a licensed boiler inspector who
will issue if successful a certificate for each accumulator. This
document will be returned to the customer with the re certified
accumulator. This inspection also allows the bladder and poppet
valve assembly to be checked for wear and damage. Should it be
necessary, such components can be repaired or replaced at the
time of the inspection ensuring continued trouble free operation
of the unit.
